Yesterday was my birthday. I had a very nice party with family and friends. There was plenty of food and the children had fun playing in the swimming pool that my brother said was made for only two. Is not a big one just something to cool off in when the days are hot. My mom told the story of having me and how my dad was not there, but came home and stayed for a month and took care of of both. (He was in the Army and station in Virginia when I was born).
She said I was a good baby and did not cry much, just always wanting to eat. She worried about my two brothers who she had to leave with my grandma while she was in the hospital. They did good.
I do not feel like I am 49. I know its just a number. It is a big number though. I thank my family for being with me through the good and the bad.
Today, I am blessed.
