After Party

Yesterday was my birthday. I had a very nice party with family and friends. There was plenty of food and the children had fun playing in the swimming pool that my brother said was made for only two. Is not a big one just something to cool off in when the days are hot. My mom told the story of having me and how my dad was not there, but came home and stayed for a month and took care of of both. (He was in the Army and station in Virginia when I was born).
She said I was a good baby and did not cry much, just always wanting to eat. She worried about my two brothers who she had to leave with my grandma while she was in the hospital. They did good.
I do not feel like I am 49. I know its just a number. It is a big number though. I thank my family for being with me through the good and the bad.
Today, I am blessed.

Party

It is my birthday today. I'm 49. This evening my family will be coming to my house for a small get together. My brother came over yesterday to put up the tent and set up the pool. It is going to be a fun and exciting day. I hope that we will get to take pictures and reminisce about my growing up. Will put up pictures tomorrow if possible and let everyone know how things go.

Loving school

My niece's daughter told me last week that she loves her school. She always talks about going and even when she is sick she says that she had to go. Her teachers are very nice and they say she is a good student. When I asked her why she does not want to stay home at least when she is sick, she said "I can not get better laying around all day at home. I have to go to school so I can play and run and do my work and then I feel better.

My picture

I know I look kind of mad on this picture. Ok, I was. It was about 99 degrees in the shade and I was not feeling it at all. Smile or say cheese is what I was told to do. This picture was going to be put in the football program for the game that week. I was at band practice and we were having our pictures taken individually. I was in the colorguard in the band. We marched and spin flags at the same time. This picture is about 32 years old. I am looking for a better one.

Diverse Family

There is a total 21 members in my family. When we get together there is lots of food, laughter and love. We may be having fried chicken and collard greens, with some Spanish rice, kimchee, Korean style ribs, macaroni and cheese, shall I go on.

My niece says we are like a pot of vegetable soup. There is so much love in every cup.
